Space Wall Method
Reduce RC walls to the limit and improve the flexibility of the layout.
The Space Wall method improves the flexibility of floor plans, which is a disadvantage of wall-type concrete, by minimizing the use of RC walls, allowing for large open spaces. It is a high seismic resistance, high durability, and low-cost wall-type reinforced concrete structure. The RC walls are reduced to the bare minimum, and the remaining RC walls are designed to be thicker. Furthermore, to minimize the use of RC walls, fire-resistant partition walls are actively employed. Verification results have shown that fire-resistant partition walls can reduce weight, are lower in cost than RC walls, and have equal or better sound insulation performance. This allows for flexibility in floor plans while keeping costs lower than a frame structure in large open spaces.
